Life Lately | Winter 2021: a Virtual Party, the Big Black Box and Be Fully Vaxxed

Hello lovelies! 🌸 Welcome to my personal narrative series entitled 𝓛𝓲𝓯𝓮 𝓛𝓪𝓽𝓮𝓵𝔂. You will get to know me better about my real-life whereabouts and inspirations in my own nutshell and adventures. Last time, I’ve written about things I am in Fall 2021. It took time for me to write and publish again a blog post for Life Lately series because winter time had been eventful. So, I got a bunch of stories to tell.

Sigh. It is just so dreamy to write here about a winter that I have yet to experience for real. But I must say, this is my favorite season because both holiday parties and my birthday are within this time. yay! ✨The comfort of the Christmas break, cool breeze, meeting more people again, and exchanging gifts indicate this brimming hope that this pandemic is already over. (but of course in reality not yet) How about you do you feel the same about this season?

Just Got Lucky

This is insane. It is a sweet gift and surprise from the heavens to win the “Noche Buena package” from Netflix. I am a two-year subscriber already on this streaming platform so it felt like a reward at the same time. I just happen to find the raffle on Twitter and decided to join immediately. I thought I won’t get picked because I didn’t receive any email right away. The message came anyway. hah! 😀

I chose Emily in Paris Noche Buena Package because I am a fan of this show and I fancy french food – croissant and salami! The Moscato wine is also so fine! Thank you, Netflix! Yup, this girl is lucky!

Virtual Party Quipper

For the first time, I experience attending a virtual year-end party. I am not expecting anything because I work only as an independent contractor or “freelancer”. Imagine, it’s been two years already I am working with them as I only realized. Yes, I am in love with the kind of job I have at this moment. hehe!

It was fun to attend a virtual party as we play a lot of games and more monetary prizes. I watched other freelancers who actively participates in the TikTok challenge. They are all talented, but my favorite role play is the “no face” from Studio Ghibli. haha. They also gave an extra cash treat for food. I got to share it at home. Thank you for being a blessing in my pandemic life, Quipper!

Alexa, Scented Candles, and More

During the winter season, our family also got one of our favorite boxes. With that, I also get reunited with my cousin whom my last meeting with is 5 years ago. Despite the crisis of this pandemic, we are all thankful for surviving and still meeting after these years. The box has Alexa, my trusted AI from Amazon, which is unexpected but I claimed her and now, she is my companion in my work-from-home setting. Scented candles are also my favorite because it completes my night ritual after the skincare routine. A cherry blossom body care set is also included in the box which I truly love.

Our secret Santa Claus will send again another one before Summer 2022 ends! Yay! I’ll share again it with you soon and show you real photos. 💜

Be Fully Vaxxed

It really took a long time for us to get vaccinated. While most of my colleagues and friends are done, I am just at home waiting for my turn. I was not prioritized back then because of not being a frontline (medical staff) or senior citizen. My job does not require going on-site so it did not bother me until the malls where we go for buying groceries forbid all non-vaccinated people to enter. That’s the sign, so let’s go for a jab. Voila! I am fully vaccinated at least before my birthday.
